Option 1. If he knew, he was supposed to take you out.  If it is true, he already has access to their library and are under their codes.  Do I cure such a man or take him out of his misery?

The way I see it, he was not loyal the the United States during Vietnam. If he is real, though they will require secrecy, he will be disloyal to them and expose them to the world.
