The Community Network
Announces Annual Event
Operation Solution and Response is projected to go into
effect on 1 November 2014. The National
Community Network, INC., placed into motion a 3 day event beginning on
Thanksgiving Nov. 27th, 2014, the on Black Friday the 28th and then ended on
Saturday 29th.
The objective is to prevent recidivism and reduce crime by
relieving some of the stresses that come with the holiday blues. During the holiday season crime rates
increase 30% and one of the products bought most on Black Friday is guns. The goal we hope to accomplish is the
introduction of our organization and our services to the community by
expressing our agenda in three day event that includes food, music, dance and
other community events to unite the community in a caring and community
oriented environment of love and peace and therefore promoting the Avon Park and
its Redevelopment Areas as a places to do business in.
Wal-Mart store in Avon
Park , is the first
corporation to sponsor this event. I
think this is wonderful and may other corporation follow their lead. We requested $2,500 for food and supplies to
feed 150 people over this three event, however, we received a check today for
$1,000 to help us purchase food and supplies, which is the foundation of this
event. Understand Wal-Mart is the foundation of this event and now we
will reach out to other corporations on State highway 27 and businesses within Avon Park
to create and design a successful event that we plan to make greater every year.
We call on other non profit organizations for their support
as well as the local businesses. This
event will take community participation from DJ's to cook to doormen to
host. We would like to include many
establishments that want to do some type of community work in our community on
that weekend. I think a great ending
would be a party at the Community Center on Main Street for our youth. And the Main Street Community Redevelopment
Agency recently post a grant for as much as $2,000, which could be used to
sponsor this event, which would cover a lot of the overhead and maybe we might
need about $1,000 more for food and refreshments.
