Veteran Administration Offers Solution to Drug War

Black psychiatrist in Veterans Healthcare System in Sebring, Florida, puts her foot down and uses a FDA Approved Clinical Research, as the springboard that will begin the end of the drug war in America.  Instantly reducing local crime, while giving all veterans long overdue, deserving and needed services in medication availability.

Dr. Doris Borden agreed to arrange an expedited appointment with Rev. Frank Paul Jones to determine if this medication Marinol an FDA approve THC can be effective as a sedative as well as the frequency it would be prescribed to others and the patient population it would most be effectively prescribe to and therefore targeted at.

Dr. Borden who is a trend setter in psychiatry has introduced the facts that Marinol, which is THC, based on FDA approved findings, Marinol is unique in that patients cannot overdose from it, they cannot get addicted to it, it is a great sedative, that is cheap to manufacture and unlike many psychotropic medications, it makes you feel drowsiness, euphoria and heightened sensory awareness.   Meaning will make you feel good while you go to sleep or just relax.

This will become the perfect medication for high risk populations of suicide and may save many lives as many of our troops are returning home with PTSD from Afghanistan.  Because extreme overdoses do not result in death, the safety factor and its benefits of making you fell good or basically feel high, will encourage mental patients who often do not take their medications to have an incentive to do so. 

Because Dr. Borden recognized that often mental patients receive medication that modify their behavior, but at a cost of feeling bad, which often leads them not taking medications at all. And she recognizes the obligation of the psychiatry profession to be concern with no only behavior modification but the quality of life of patients is just as important for long term success.   She realizes that the quality of life begins from within and often medications make many patients fell horrible, while this is the beginning of a new direction in psychiatry. 

As a result of her decision, it creates a totally new outlook on the Veterans Administration commitment to reducing costs, because of how inexpensive it is to  manufacture Marinol.  Showing Americans our government's accountability while under scrutiny for VA mismanagement and therefore our commitment to Veterans needs and not the pharmaceutical industry greed.  It would mean that the federal government officially has decided to prescribe this medication to people on Medicaid, Medicare and every Medical Insurance nationwide, because this drug is FDA approved.  But is just not being used for the many purposes it is allowed to be used for under federal law.  But she will change that for everyone.  Thanks to Br.
